Mixed Delivery

Mixed Delivery grants are designed to test innovative public-private partnerships so that more at-risk children can access preschool and arrive at Kindergarten ready to learn.

September 2019 - June 2022

January 2019 - July 2021

A regional Mixed Delivery Grant was awarded to provide Mixed Delivery services to Chesterfield and Henrico counties as well as the City of Richmond.  This regional approach provides additional opportunities for private child care providers to participate and offers families the opportunity to make choices to better meet their needs.  The regional grant is administered by the Henrico Education Foundation with technical support provided by Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond.

July 2017 - June 2019

The Chesterfield Mixed Delivery Partnership established a collaborative decision-making structure to pilot this innovative approach that includes representation from the following: Chesterfield County Public Schools, Chesterfield County Department of Social Services, ChildSavers, Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond, Virginia Child Care Association, VPM (formerly WCVE-Community Idea Stations), and private child care directors.
